The above old Northway, Alaska, FSS facility was closed in 2000
A new facility was constructed nearby, in which a portion of the new facility can be seen to the far right.  The last day of operations at the old site ended on April 30, 2000.

Construction was completed in the year 2000. The new facility was commissioned on May 1, 2000.
