FAA Flight Service Training fell under the umbrella of the Air Traffic Training Division and was mostly taught at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City from about 1961 to 2004.
The Flight Service Academy was shut down in 2005 and all FAA Flight Services and training were transferred to Lockheed Martin (renamed Leidos). Only Alaska Flight Service has remained under the FAA, and air traffic training is accomplished locally in Alaska.
This section contains FAA Academy Flight Service graduation photos as well as En route Flight Advisory Service (EFAS) classes taught by the National Weather Service, and can be viewed from the right-side menu.
